As always stunning work, just amazing. As someone who has been in the industry for quite a while, which software's would you recommend we learn, if we want to become a character designer ? In other words what software does most game companies use, or prefer you to know  ?

I would assume maya, zbrush, 3dcoat & ps would get the work done.

Hey Firstkeeper-
I'm on my planning phase for my 3d Models. I was wondering about the difference when painting a high poly model sculpt as a base and a low poly game model straight on as a base.

Unless I plan on using Normal Maps on the Low-poly, is there any difference between the two?

I know World of Warcraft models don't use Normal Maps- but the Heroes of the Storm Models do.

Hi, if you mean polypainting in Zbrush - I never used it for my textures. I paint after getting all lights and sculpt baked from hipoly on lowpoly. Main advice would be not to over paint texture, keep light info correct and  true to normal map.
