ohh great job.. umm whats the diff between polys and tris? because my understanding is that they are kinda the same thing?

1 polygon = 2 triangle, all game engine and programs count tris, polygons for users .

More correct to turn model in tris before you'll make texture in Deep Paint couse this programm make triangulation on it own ways and It'll look incorrect in Max or Maya.

ohhh right i see... um what if you use photoshop to do the textures? does the same principle apply? if thats the case is it just alwayes better to tringulate the models to avoid the textures pinching in general?

I never use Photoshop for project texturing, so I can to say nothing about that. I just have a habit to turn in tris all my game models before I bake maps or make texture,couse if I don't I can have a tris problem in marmoset for exp. You can learn about it more carefully in internet. It's really difficult for me to explain technical things on english :)
